Thamsanqa Sangweni is the latest in a lengthy line of players deemed surplus to requirement at Gavin Hunt’s Chippa United.

Midfielder Sangweni was a peripheral figure for the Chilli Boys last season making just eight appearances.
The 32-year-old follows Oupa Manyisa, Anthony Laffor and Mlungisi Mazibuko out the door at the Gqeberha-based side.

Meanwhile, Chippa United have offered veteran midfielder Kurt Lentjies a new deal.
The 36-year-old’s contract expired at the end of July, but has now been offered a two-year contract extension.
“Kurt Lentjies remains an important member at Chippa United. The club has offered him a new contract,” an insider at the club reportedly told Kickoff.
“He has since signed a two-year deal with the club.”
