FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:



  1. Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected in places over the eastern parts of the Northern Cape, the western parts of both the Free State and North-West province as well as the Joe Gqabi District Municipality of the Eastern Cape.

  1. Nil.


Gauteng:


Temperature: Fine in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and warm but hot in the north.


The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.


Mpumalanga:


Temperature: Fine and warm but hot in the Lowveld, becoming party in the afternoon.


Limpopo:


Temperature: Fine and hot, becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon.


North-West Province:


Temperature: Partly cloudy and hot.


Free State:


Temperature: Partly cloudy and warm to hot, with isolated showers and thundershowers in the extreme east.


Northern Cape:


Temperature: Fine and warm to hot, but partly cloudy and north east. It will be cool in places in the west and south.


Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly becoming strong in the afternoon.


Western Cape:


Temperature: Fine over the Cape Metropole and West Coast, otherwise partly cloudy and cold to cool with isolated showers and rain along the eastern parts of south coast and adjacent interior in the morning.


Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southwesterly to southerly but moderate northwesterly between Cape Point and Cape Agulhas in the morning.


The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.


Eastern Cape:


The Western half Temperature: Cloudy and cool with isolated morning showers and rain in the south, becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon.


The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be Light to moderate south westerly.


The Eastern half Temperature: Cloudy and cool with isolated showers and rain south of the escarpment.


The Eastern half Wind: The wind along the coast will be Light to moderate south westerly becoming southerly towards the evening


Kwazulu-Natal:


Temperature: Partly cloudy in the west, otherwise cloudy and cool but warm in places in the north. Isolated showers and thundershowers expected over southern and western KZN.


Wind: The wind along the coast will be Moderate northerly to north-easterly north of Richards Bay at first otherwise south-westerly.


The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.
