FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:



  1. Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the Northern Cape(except in the extreme west), Central and Little Karoo Districts of the Western Cape as well as the Sarah Baartman DM, Chris Hani DM, Walter Sisulu LM and Raymond Mhlaba LM of the Eastern Cape.

Gauteng:


Temperature: Partly cloudy in the morning, otherwise fine and cool but war in the north.


The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.


Mpumalanga:


Temperature: Cloudy in places at first with early morning drizzle along the escarpment, otherwise fine and cool but remaining partly cloudy in the east. It will be warm in places in the Lowveld.


Limpopo:


Temperature: Partly cloudy in places in the morning, otherwise fine and cool to warm but cloudy along the escarpment with morning drizzle.


North-West Province:


Temperature: Partly cloudy in the morning, otherwise fine and warm.


Free State:


Temperature: Partly cloudy in the east in the morning, otherwise fine and warm.


Northern Cape:


Temperature: Cool along the coast where it will be cloudy, otherwise fine and warm to hot with high-level clouds.


Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate easterly to south-easterly, becoming fresh northerly to north-westerly mid-morning.


Western Cape:


Temperature: Cloudy along the west coast and over the Cape Metropole in the morning, and along the south coast by the evening otherwise fine and cool to warm but hot in the eastern interior. It will be partly cloudy in the extreme west from the afternoon.


Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong northerly to north-westerly, but moderate to fresh westerly to south-westerly along the south coast becoming light easterly in the evening.


The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.


Eastern Cape:


The Western half Temperature: Fine and warm to hot.


The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh easterly to north-easterly, becoming light to moderate westerly in the afternoon.


The Eastern half Temperature: Cloudy with fog patches south of the escarpment at first, otherwise fine and warm but hot in the south-west.


The Eastern half Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong easterly to north-easterly, reaching near gale in places during the morning.


Kwazulu-Natal:


Temperature: Partly cloudy in the morning with morning fog over the interior, otherwise fine and cool but warm in the east.


Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh easterly to north-easterly becoming strong from the south by afternoon.


The expected UVB Sunburn Index: High.
