FIRE DANGER WARNINGS:



  1. Extremely high fire danger conditions expected over the northern parts of the Northern Cape and the north-western parts of the North-West.

Gauteng:


Temperature: Cloudy in the morning otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm.


The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Extreme.


Mpumalanga:


Temperature: Cloudy and cool with morning drizzle and fog along the escarpment where it will be cold, clearing partially from the west later. Isolated afternoon thundershowers are expected in the east.


Limpopo:


Temperature: Cloudy and cool with morning drizzle and fog along the escarpment where it will be cold but warm in the western Bushveld. Isolated afternoon thundershowers are expected in the east.


North-West Province:


Temperature: Cloudy in the east at first, otherwise partly cloudy and warm but fine in the south.


Free State:


Temperature: Cloudy in the east with morning fog patches, otherwise fine and cool to warm. It will become partly cloudy in the afternoon with isolated evening showers and thundershowers in the north and east.


Northern Cape:


Temperature: Cloudy over the southern highground where morning fog patches are expected, otherwise fine and cool to warm.


Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly.


Western Cape:


Temperature: Cloudy with mist in the morning over the Cape Winelands and extreme north-eastern interior, otherwise fine and cool to warm but hot along the west-coast. High clouds are expected by the evening along the south-coast.


Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh easterly to south-easterly.


The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very high.


Eastern Cape:


The Western half Temperature: Morning fog patches in places, otherwise cloudy and cool, becoming fine in the north from late morning.


The Western half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate north-easterly, but fresh to strong in the afternoon.


The Eastern half Temperature: Partly cloudy north of the escarpment, otherwise cloudy and cool with isolated showers and rain, but scattered along the coast.


The Eastern half Wind: The wind along the coast will be light to moderate north-easterly, becoming fresh to strong from late morning.


Kwazulu-Natal:


Temperature: Cloudy and cool but cold over the southern interior. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected.


Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate easterly to north-easterly, becoming fresh in places in the afternoon.


The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Low.
