Masutha joined towards the end of the 2020/21 season where he finished in the top eight on the log and also led the team to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Chippa United in the Nedbank Cup semi-finals. “Yes coach Masytha has resigned and we accepted that, but he’s a good coach, unfortunately, results were not coming as expected which I think he realised it hence he decided to resign. Just for that, you could also realise that he loves the team so it was important for him to make way for someone to take over and bring changes. However, we appreciate having worked with him. We would also like to thank the other technical team members for their dedication and wish everyone all the best in their careers,” concluded club chairman Moses Malada.
Meanwhile, former Kaizer Chiefs and Callies striker Edwin Sitayitayi is the caretaker coach until further notice. Zukish as he’s affectionately known to football fans was on the bench for his first official match against Polokwane City. Thanks to team management who sent him to a coaching course at the beginning of the season.
