SAFA lodged an application to appeal last Sunday’s result which saw Ghana beat Bafana Bafana 1-0 in the final match of Group G.

Ghana were awarded a dubious penalty which was converted by Andre Ayew but SAFA’s appeal is NOT ONLY based on the penalty incident but the overall officiating of the entire match.

On Wednesday, SAFA presented a comprehensive report which concluded that Senegalese referee N’Diaye was bias and his officiating favoured Ghana on the night.

SAFA’s task team, led by former FIFA accredited referee Ace Ncobo, discovered 71 incorrect decisions made by N’Diaye; the majority of which went against Bafana Bafana.

The entire Ghanaian nation is convinced that the referee handled the match properly and that the decision to award the penalty against Bafana Bafana was correct.

Now, FIFA has given GFA until Saturday, 20 November 2021 to make their submissions regarding SAFA’s appeal.
