Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is closing in on 800 career goals following his strike against Villarreal on Tuesday night.

Ronaldo netted Man United’s opener in the 78th minute before Jadon Sancho put the final nail in Villarreal’s coffin in the 90th minute.
Ronaldo’s strike was his 140th in the UEFA Champions League, and he achieved this feat in 181 matches.

But more importantly, this was Ronaldo’s 799 career goals, and he’s one short of reaching 800 career goals.
He will fancy his chances to score that 800th career goal on Sunday when Man United visit Premier League log leaders Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
