Orlando Pirates flop Austin Muwowo is set to return to the club in January after what has been a failed loan stint with Swallows.

According to KickOff, an unnamed Swallows official confirmed that Muwowo could go back to his parent club, Pirates, barely six months into his loan agreement.
The left-footer was expected to spend the whole of this season on loan at Swallows as he was in search of regular game time.

However, things have gotten even worse as Muwowo has managed just a single substitute appearance for Swallows thus far.
And the official feels Muwowo is struggling to adapt to the way Swallows play, and that alone could be enough for the club to release him.

“It’s a combination of factors,” said the official.
“There is additionally the issue of him struggling to adapt to the club system with other players ahead of him in the same position.

“He’s not a bad player and you can see the talent but things seem to be not working for him at Swallows,” added the official.
Muwowo’s contract with Pirates comes to an end on 30 June 2022, and it remains to be seen if the Soweto giants will renew it.
