Former Kaizer Chiefs boss Ernst Middendorp has endured a torrid time when coaching against current Amakhosi boss Stuart Baxter.

Middendorp, who coached the Soweto giants on two occasions – July 2005 to March 2007 and then December 2018 to September 2020 – suffered his EIGHTH defeat against Stuart Baxter on Sunday.

A Bernard Parker goal in the 63rd minute of this past weekend’s clash at the Harry Gwala Stadium saw Middendorp – who these days is in charge of Maritzburg United – extend his winless streak against the 68-year-old British manager.

The last six of those matches have seen Ernst Middendorp’s sides lose by an aggregate score of 10-1.
Germany-born 63-year-old Middendorp did enjoy a slightly better record at the helm of Kaizer Chiefs, coaching them in 99 matches, of which he won 43, lost 33 and drew 23.
