One man has been dragged online after he decided to lie about making a big purchase. The man headed online to share a receipt of the expensive couch which explains was for his mom. Many however accused him of lying after they did a bit of Twitter investigations.
Man gets caught in a hilarious lie
One man has proven that people on the internet will do just about anything when it comes to internet fame and maintaining a certain image. The man with the Twitter handle, @DlalaChampion, headed to Twitter where he delightedly shared how he bought his mom a couch on Black Friday.

He also shared a photo of the charcoal grey couch as well as the receipt which shows the piece of furniture cost a whopping R42k.
“Decided to surprise my mother with new couches today since it’s Black Friday. I’ve never seen her so happy,” he captioned the seemingly inspiring post on the popular social media app.
Netizens just aren’t buying it
Despite the fact that he shared the receipt with followers, many did not believe that he actually made the exorbitant purchase. Many of them accused him of lying about the couch. Especially because he edited the date out of the receipt and did not share snaps of his mom’s reaction to the pricey couch.
