A simple way to do this is to simply turn off the read receipts or blue ticks, but this is a 2-way-street and you will not be able to guess if the other person has read your WhatsApp message or not.

Turning off read receipts or disabling blue ticks on WhatsApp is easy. To disable read receipts, go to WhatsApp. Accounts > Privacy> Turn off read receipts by swiping left.

However, if you are the curious sort and WANT to know who seen-zoned you, and delve into eternal misery, but also don’t want others to know that you read their WhatsApp messages, you can follow this trick — before opening a WhatsApp message, out your phone in Airplane mode and when you are done, it will be marked as unread even if you have turned off the Airplane mode.

Another trick you can follow to show your presence less on WhatsApp is to turn off your last seen. Go to Settings > Click on Account > Select Privacy. You can tweak settings to disable last seen for your contacts or for no contacts at all.

You can also mark a WhatsApp message as “unread” for times when you see a message but don’t read it so that you remember to read and reply to it later.

To mark a message as unread, tap on a message and hold it, then select Mark as unread. Note that the sender will know that the message has been read but you will be reminded that you have not actually read it through a blue or green dot.

Harmony OS 2 installed on over 40mn devices, confirms Huawei

Huawei has officially confirmed that the Harmony OS 2 is installed on over 40 million devices, meaning that eight users are upgrading every second.‎

If you are unaware, the software was booting on over 10 million devices within a week of its launch. News ‎broke out that within a month it was booting on over 25 million Huawei phones. Now, with the 40 million ‎milestone, Huawei’s Harmony OS has accomplished a higher position across phone operating systems.‎

At this pace, the OS seems to compete head-to-head with other operating systems. Huawei has also been adding open source components to the OS and it had recently added 400+ open source components.

Apart from this, Huawei is expected to bring the HarmonyOS 2 on all of its smartphones. Some of the premium phones to get the update would be Huawei’s Mate 40 series, P40 series, Nova8 phones, MateX2, and MatePad Pro.

It is pertinent to mention here that China’s Huawei Technologies announced the launch of its new Harmony operating system for smartphones in its biggest move yet aimed at recovering from the damage done by US sanctions to its mobile phone business.

The use of its own operating system will mean it will no longer be reliant on Android. U.S. sanctions banned Google from providing technical support to new Huawei phone models and access to Google Mobile Services, the bundle of developer services upon which most Android apps are based.
