The Secretary of the National Executive Committee (NEC) for Ideology, Propaganda, and Training of CCM and the Patron of CCM in the Dar es Salaam Region, CPA Amos Makalla, has arrived at Buliaga Grounds, located in Miburani Ward, Temeke District, Dar es Salaam Region. He was welcomed by party members and various leaders from both the party and the government for the launch of the Local Government Election Campaigns, which officially begin today, November 20, and will run until November 26, 2024.

 Jokate Mwegelo Launches CCM Local Government Election Campaign in Pwani, Welcomes 20 New Members

The Secretary General of the Youth Union of the Chama cha Mapinduzi (CCM), Jokate Mwegelo, today officially launched the local government election campaign in the Pwani region, with the campaign kickoff taking place in the Kibiti district of Pwani.




In addition to her remarks, Jokate urged members of the party to vote for various CCM leaders for the development of their villages and neighborhoods.

She also welcomed a total of 20 new members from other parties who switched to CCM, returning their party cards and officially handing them CCM membership cards, formalizing them as CCM members.

The Urban Bus Rapid Transit Company (UDART) has joined efforts to assist the victims of the recent four-story building collapse in the Kariakoo area. In a display of social solidarity, UDART has donated 500 cartons of drinking water to support the rescue teams and victims of the incident. The UDART CEO, accompanied by other company leaders, visited the scene to deliver the aid and show solidarity with the victims and the rescue teams. Speaking during the donation, the UDART CEO said, "We are deeply saddened by this incident, and we felt it was important to actively participate in efforts to assist those affected. As a company that serves the community, it is our duty to stand together in times of emergencies like this."
Rescue teams, government officials, and citizens received the donation with gratitude, expressing that the contribution has helped strengthen the ongoing rescue efforts. Community members and other organizations have been encouraged to follow UDART's example by continuing to provide assistance to the victims and those working to save lives in this tragic incident. Rescue operations are still ongoing, with high hopes of saving more lives.
