The new King of Pop, Adekunle Gold in conjunction with Baddest Afro-Pop artiste, Davido drops a new song titled “High“. This uptempo record is a follow up to his previous 2021 singles; ‘Sinner‘ and ‘It Is What It Is’.
Adekunle Gold is an award-winning Nigerian highlife singer, songwriter, and graphic designer. AG Baby calls his music “urban highlife” because of its conscious intersections with contemporary pop, electronica, folk, and R&B. His debut solo single, “Sade,” in 2014, a cover of One Direction’s “Story of My Life,” set the radio stations of Lagos buzzing. Mixed by top Nigerian singer and songwriter, Simi he won an award for it at Nigeria’s Headies the very next year for Best Alternative Song. He got signed to Olamide’s YBNL label, and issued two Simi-mixed charting follow-ups in “Orente” and “Pick Up” before releasing Gold Album.
Gold’s sophomore album, About 30, was released to international fanfare and featured guest spots by DYA on “Down with You,” Seun Kuti on “Mr. Foolish,” and Flavour N’bania on “Yoyo.” The set peaked at number nine on the World Music Albums chart. Gold wasted no time. He toured the nation, then the continent, and issued a handful of charting singles through 2019, including “Kelegbe Megbe,” “Before You Wake Up,” “Adiza,” and “Promise.”
In 2020 Adekunle Gold switched his sound completely and dropped a streaming project titled “Afro Pop Vol. 1”, his third album. The music project gave us lovely hit tracks like; ‘Something Different‘, ‘AG Baby‘, ‘Sabina‘, ‘Okay‘, ‘Pretty Girl‘ (featuring Patoranking).
Today September 3, 2021, AG Baby continues the music journey of his newly found Pop sound with the release of this new addictive song titled “High” featuring Davido (001, Baddest!)

Bafana Bafana kick off their Fifa World Cup 2022 qualifying campaign against Zimbabwe in Harare on Friday 3 September.
Here we predict how Bafana Bafana could line up against their neighbours and rivals, who are without several regulars based in England.
Having been named captain it is something of a foregone conclusion that Ronwen Williams will start in goal for Bafana Bafana against Zimbabwe.
There are indications that Hugo Broos will trial a new centre back pairing with Siyanda Xulu set to partner debutant Rushine de Reuck at the heart of the defence.
Broos has indicated that he will blend youth and experience and looks set to play the balancing act on either flank of the back four.
Mamelodi Sundowns stalwart Thapelo Morena should be patrolling the right back channel while Austin Dube’s form in the Cosafa Cup trophy win should have sealed a place for him on the big stage. Sibusiso Mabiliso probably hasn’t played enough football this season to be considered, and Morena should shade his Sundowns teammate Sydney Mobbie.
In midfield, Teboho Mokoena is fast becoming South Africa’s mister reliable and the SuperSport United star should anchor Bafana’s efforts in the middle of the park.
Siyethemba Sithebe put in the hard yards to set up South Africa’s Cosafa Cup triumph, and despite his absence from the technical area during the event, Broos should reward his efforts in being named as the player of the tournament.
In the number 10 role, Sipho Mbule has the chance to step up to the next level and show that he has the flair and technique to lead the next generation of Bafana Bafana stars.
Broos is expected to use Percy Tau in a wide role on the left side of a three-pronged attack. Evidence Makgopa should be given an opportunity to build on the excellent start he has made to his career as an international centre forward. Former Maritzburg United star Thabiso Kutumela should complete the strikeforce.

Broos’ Bafana Bafana approach called into question
Nigerian alte singer, Tems was trending on Thursday September 2, 2021 after Nigerians spotted an electronic billboard advertisement of her feature on American rapper Drake’s CLB (Certified Lover Boy) album.
Curious Music fans who didn’t see the feature coming took the conversation to social media, tagging Tems on all platforms to confirm if the News was true. Reacting to this, at first Tems went on her IG Story and typed ‘Hahahahaha‘
Her response didn’t make many believe and brought some to a conclusion that the billboard advertise was a publicity stunt.
After hours passed by Tems took to her official instagram page to confirm the feature with Drake and in the comment section we found Champagnepapi. See below

On Thursday, September 2, 2021, Annie Idibia took to her Instagram Story to accuse 2Baba, of sharing the same apartment with his Ex-Babymama, Pero.
In her words; “What kind of man takes his kids to Disney and spend nights in the same apartment with his kids and their mother? How many times have you gone to see your kids with Pero? and she stay with you and the kids under the same roof for nights! Or is it when your brother @hi.idibia house you, your kids and Pero under the roof?“?
The Nigerian actress went on to share how patient she has being with 2face and always shown only his good side to the public.
“I am a patient woman!! I am not a fool innocent! Your family never loved me from the beginning! No matter how hard I tried! I was never worthy to them!!!
I have made so many sacrifices for you and all your children. God knows I have I tried
Everything I do is to show the good human that you are!” She wrote.
Speaking on 2Baba’s continuous affair with his ex/babymama Annie shared;
“Your baby mamas constantly use your children as an excuse for all sort of rubbish!
I try to stay gracious. You are not the first man on the planet to have kids by different women. You can do better!“
Annie during her rants also called out 2face’s Manager, friend and family for supporting his Infidelity.
“But today, this move done by you, Efe, Frankie and your family is unacceptable!!“?
