Pitso Mosimane’s rivals Zamalek punished by FIFA!

Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly have been handed a major advantage in Egypt after rivals Zamalek’s two-window transfer ban was upheld in court!

Zamalek beat Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly to last season’s Egyptian Premier League title however their fortunes have taken a turn for the worst heading into the new campaign.

Their decision to challenge their FIFA ban proved to be unsuccessful after the Court of Arbitration Sport (CAS) upheld their two-window transfer ban.

Zamalek will now be unable to register any of their new signings ahead of the new Egyptian Premier League and CAF Champions League campaigns.

While Zamalek will be unable to register their new signings (Hamdi Nagguez, Omar Kamal and Mahmoud Shabana). Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly have beefed their squad up with a number of top quality signings.

Pitso Mosimane managed to lure the dangerous attacking trio of Percy Tau Hossam Hassan and Luis Miquisson to the Egyptian giants while Karim Fouad and Mostafa El Badry also joined the CAF Champions League champions ahead of the new season.

Pitso Mosimane’s rivals suffer transfer blow

“The registration ban has been enforced by FIFA due to the cases of youngster Hossam Ashraf and ex-head coach Christian Gross.” KingFut reported regarding Pitso Mosimane’s rivals transfer ban.

“Ashraf, 20, had signed for Zamalek despite being contracted to a Cameroonian club with a release clause of €4m, which the Whites had to be taken to court for after failing to pay the agreed fee. Eventually, the fee was reduced to €220,000, which is also yet to be paid by the Egyptians.

“The second case is related to ex-head coach Cristian Gross, who is owed €700,000 by Zamalek as late due, and with the payment deadline passing, FIFA have imposed a one-period transfer ban on the club.”

Bongani Zungu latest: Ben 10’s market value goes CRASHING down!

South African star Bongani Zungu has seen his market value take a shocking dip following arguably his worst spell in his career.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns star was tipped to reach great heights in Europe after first making his mark in Portugal before moving to the French top flight however, in the space of just over two years, things have taken a turn for the worst!

Zungu first made a name for himself at the University of Pretoria before being snapped up by Mamelodi Sundowns in 2013. It was at the Brazilians where ‘Ben 10’ become one of the hottest midfielders in the Premier Soccer League (PSL).

After winning two league titles with Pitso Mosimane, Bongani Zungu made the jump to Europe after sealing a move to Portuguese outfit Vitoria Guimaraes.

Bongani Zungu takes Europe by storm

Zungu swiftly became a regular at the Portuguese top flight outfit after shining for their reserve team, and before he knew it, he had already sealed a move to Ligue 1’s Amiens SC.

Bongani Zungu was a standard feature for Amiens during the 2017/18 campaign. Despite joining the club after the league had began, he still managed to make 28 appearances for the club.

Amiens finished in 13th position on the Ligue 1 log standings with Zungu being a key figure for them. The 2018/19 season saw Zungu missing 27 matches through a knee injury before making a return with just three games to go in the season.

His return however came as a major boost to Bafana Bafana who had qualified for the 2019 AFCON in Egypt. Bongani Zungu proved his class once again in national team colours after turning out a number of stunning performances for Stuart Baxter’s side.

Zungu scored twice in four appearances at the 2019 AFCON and interest from across Europe was reportedly pouring in following the tournament! At the time, Zungu was valued at approximately R62 million.

And then came the decline…

The 2019/20 campaign saw Bongani Zungu’s Amiens get relegated from the French top flight. The Bafana Bafana also missed out on a deadline day transfer to the Spanish top flight outfit Mallorca in January. In total, Zungu made 24 appearances for the season.

Following Amiens’ relegation, Zungu looked for a move away from the club. He eventually secured a sensational move to Steven Gerrard’s Rangers in Scotland.

Bongani Zungu joined the high-flying Scottish side with high expectations however not many could’ve predicted what was to follow. It turned out to be Zungu’s worst season in his career.

He was punished by both the league and his club for breaking COVID-19 protocol after attending a party with his ‘younger’ teammates and ultimately never recovered from that.

His reputation had taken a major knock and the club decided against signing him on a permanent basis following his original loan spell at the end of the 2020/2021 campaign.

Zungu was then forced to return back to Amiens, who are still campaigning in the French Ligue 2. He’s yet to make an appearance for the club this season following a delayed arrival in France.

As of today, Bongani Zungu is worth just R17 million. It’s incredible to note that the player who not so long ago was projected to reach the R100 million valuation mark, is now worth less than many PSL stars.

12 Punchlines From the 2021 Hennessy Artistry Cypher That Had Our Heads Spinning!

Hennessy released their 2021 Cyphers in 3 episodes of absolute Rap genius. Viewers were treated to an array of hard-hitting punchlines, from every artiste. There were simply too many to pick from, but here are the top 12 punchlines from this year’s Hennessy Cypher that had us off our seats!

Episode 1 saw Alpha Ojini, Psycho YP, BarryLane, and Legendary Styles go head-to-head, trading bars left, right, and center, resulting in an electic start to the Cypher. Alpha Ojini hit us with “Burna didn’t get this high by flying kites, but they need you to click so I guess it’s fine”; before Psycho YP hit back saying “So mans not ready, mans got plenty, man went headies, mans not headie; I don’t care about any, I just sip my Henny and it’s big YP!”.

Rap sensation BarryLane kicked off his freestyle with “How many hours you wait? How many dollars you made? How many people talk at your back when you bend down to tie your shoelace? The timing is never too late, be patient it’s still a new day”, Episode 1 was then wrapped up in style by Legendary Styles – “They say life is fair, but I don see enough bleaching cream to convince me now that my time is here, Legendary, styling them in a dodgy way like 6 & 9”.

Episode 2 had the season VII winner of the Hennessy Artistry VS Class, Matosan, alongside Escore Gatti, Preacher Kingz, as well as the first female winner of the Hennessy Artistry VS Class, Laud Reyes. Following the flying start from episode 1, these four kept the momentum going. Escore Gatti got episode 2 underway with “I devour, carnivore, bloodbath if I get involved, you should see my mask come off, NASA how I’m blasting off, I made it here not falling off, your verses got me nodding off”, until Preacher Kingz followed with “I’m still preaching, same reason they stoned Stephen; I saved the game now these rappers came for the thanksgiving”

Laud Reyes held her own as the sole female artiste on the Cypher when she said, “Hold on, wait, it’s corona coming; barbarian on the beat you’d think it’s conan coming”. Then it was down to the reigning king, Matosan to round off episode 2, and he brought the heat with “Too many bodies in my closet now I’m running out of space, like an astronaut, I’m talking to the moon”

The finale Episode saw some of the best Rap acts grab the mic to do what they do best. LadiPoe, M.I, Vector, and Ycee showed viewers exactly why they remain undefeated. LadiPoe started things off stylishly with “Henny Knows the problem with premium flows whether bars or XO, You people want it diluted”. M.I responded with “But back to my point my focus is shifting, my arms are tired of carrying the game that’s heavy lifting”

Vector kept it short and direct when he said “I don’t have to act a fool to get clout, every line is so thick you’d think I spit stout” and Bonus shouts out to Vector for the tribute to the late sound Sultan when he said ‘No King passed away when he passed, rest in peace Sound sultan, elevate with the greats’ . Finally, Ycee had the honor of drawing the 2021 Hennessy Cypher to a close – “Man I’m going all in like this was a gamble, get with the program or you change the channel; I can throw a stack heavier than shatta bandle”

There you have it! The top 12 punchlines from the 2021 Hennessy Cypher, and we just hope we get the same level of heat in next year’s edition.
